BT Consumer starts another burst of Sainsbury's Gift Cards
Saturday 26 September 2015 12:00:49 by Andrew Ferguson

For a fairly short period this time that ends on 30th September 2015 BT has £75 Sainsbury's Gift Cards up for grabs for new customers to its ADSL, ADSL2+ and Infinity (FTTC/FTTH) services.

The full range of BT products is over in our listing section. One key aspect for those in the more rural parts of the UK is that BT Consumer charges the same price irrespective of the size of the exchange.

Irrespective of your provider choice if you are still on an old up to 8 Mbps ADSL service and FTTC has arrived in your exchange area but has missed your cabinet it is worth checking to see if ADSL2+ is now available. Upgrading from the old ADSL products to the newer WBC ADSL2+ even if no download connection speed improvements appear will give a much more responsive IP Profile setting and the vast majority of people do see an upload speed improvement. Some broadband providers automatically upgrade from ADSL to ADSL2+, but others may rely on the consumer taking the initiative.

In such an instance, do BT require the consumer to take the initiative?

Gift Cards you claim them once your service has gone live, so your choice.

On ADSL2+ upgrades BT Retail do their customers in batches automatically, if really keen you can jump the queue. But if you wait for the batch move from ADSL to ADSL2+ it can take longer to happen.
