First Direct are in partnership with BT Openworld to offer users a £2.50 reduction in the monthly fee (£27.49 as
oppossed to £29.99) for the first 12 months and free activation. This is a total saving of £95 compared to BT Openworld's standard pricing. They are also running a competition for one
years free ADSL access with BT Openworld and free T-shirts for the first 5,000 people who register for First Direct Banking.
The main catch appears to be that you need to be a First Direct customer to take advantage of the offer. Interestingly there is no tie in to insist that you take the USB modem package from BT
Openworld, users are free to decide on whatever hardware they choose.
