EE broadband customer base returns to February 2010 levels
Tuesday 29 April 2014 09:36:34 by Andrew Ferguson

The retail sector for UK broadband has to be one of the most cut throat areas to operate in and the continued growth at EE as its announces its first quarter 2014 financial results suggests the operator is doing something right.

EE added 20,000 new broadband customers in the last quarter (they added 12,000 the previous quarter) taking their fixed broadband connections to 746,000, the highest customer base for four years.

Of course 4G is the poster child for EE now, helped by their early roll-out they now have some 2.9 million 4G customers and with 889,000 added in the last quarter they may actually hit their target of six million 4G customers by the end of 2014.
