Do not even waste your time with virgin media, or at least make a detailed search for stability and utilization in your area before going with them.

Personal experience here is 18 months with a broken connection and 8 more months until its fix (only an estimated fix)

Pathetic customer service. Do not waste your time with them

As someone who's in an area that isn't over utilized and get's the speeds their meant to.

DON'T waste your time with VM. The peering to sites like youtube and twitch is terrible, with VM blaming youtube and twitch for the issues but most other ISP's are fine? No.

VM's peering is terrible. Currently get to a website/server in 10 nodes? add another 5 or so to VM's route and about 10ms and a ton of jitter.

Use your connection for uploading? Avoid VM, 60% traffic management on uploads....

Leaving VM finally as of this week and, I for one, cannot wait to get my BT Infinity installed.

I left VM in March after 15 years through all its evolved incarnations. Got Sky broadband in to replace it. Speeds show slower on speedtest sites but it does not feel it. 35mb/s on Sky internet seems as good if not more stable than VM 100mb/s. Need internet when its needed, not when the provider say I can use it.
