First BDUK areas of Northumberland are live
Wednesday 29 January 2014 13:22:34 by Andrew Ferguson

The launch of the Northumberland Superfast Broadband project was celebrated on Tuesday 28th January in the two locations of the county where the service has gone live and orders are being taken for the service, the two areas being Alnmouth and Lesbury.

These areas are in addition to areas of the county where other commercial superfast services are available and show that the county level project is finally starting to deliver. The other areas that will form the first phase of the roll-out are Widdrington, Lynemouth, Red Row, Seahouses and Shilbottle.
