BT Sport is getting bigger with the signing of an agreement to show live matches from 25 Football Conference grounds and both legs of the semis and the promotion final at Wembley.
"We are delighted that we’ve been able to invest in the Non-League game and play our part in helping community clubs to flourish.
We are not just interested in the glamour of the Premier League; we’d like to bring the excitement and grit of the Conference Premier to a new audience, as well as its existing strong fan base.
There are some terrific clubs in the Conference Premier and some fantastic stories and characters, which we aim to develop in our coverage."Simon Green, head of BT Sport
BT is obviously heavily promoting its BT Sport packages and while the big news goes to the availability of BT Sport on BT TV, it should be remembered that other BT Broadband consumer packages also qualify for free viewing via the app and online player.
This deal to show Football Conference matches is initially for two years and adds to the other football matches that will appear on BT Sport, which include 38 live football matches from the Barclays Premier League and live FA Cup, Europa League and Scottish Premier League matches, as well as top tier live football from Germany, Italy, France, Brazil, Australia and the USA, plus action from the FA Women’s Super League.
