In a few months Gigaclear should have finished building a new all fibre network in the North East Quarter of Uppingham, Rutland. The FTTP service will deliver a Gigabit service, with prices starting at £37 per month and cover areas like 'The Beeches' and Uppingham Gate business park. The service itself will be provided by Rutland Telecom, which is a subsidary of Gigaclear.
The build phase is expected to last just three months, and further expansion will be considered based on demand. Uppingham First has been working towards this announcement for 12 months and earlier in 2012 announced plans for a wireless mast to provide fixed wireless broadband to a wider area of the community.
