Launch of the Broadband Factsheet

For many years, we have had to trawl our own news archives to find key figures on topics such as current broadband penetration, market share of the major providers, and average broadband speeds. We started putting together this information for internal use, but thought that it may also be helpful to others.

The first edition of the factsheet focuses on the core statistics; in subsequent editions, we will focus attention on one topic and examine the issue in some more detail, whether it's about broadband availability, speeds, market trends or other factors.

Broadband Factsheet Q2/2012 (June 2012)

The factsheet is intended both to provide a one stop shop for basic information on the broadband industry but also to explain broadband concepts, and it is likely to overlap with our new guide series we are developing. We will also be developing a text version for those looking to analyse the data themselves.

@Apilar @Andruec: Thanks. It's taken quite a lot of time and effort to get here. We have a lot more ideas but wanted to get the first one out with some of the basics so we can then look at focussing on specific topics in future. We'll keep updating the key stats obviously too.

Very good indeed, a quick hit showing the info you need.

Just a typo I saw:-

4,148,600m cable braodband customers

But yeah great work!

One big problem seems to be that it's just a giant graphic (not text) so you can't search it. I can't really see any reason why even the text has been rasterised into an image. There's no need to do this in a PDF :)
