Fujitsu may still be in the running for Suffolk BDUK project
Friday 11 May 2012 13:15:42 by Andrew Ferguson

Signs that Fujitsu has not totally given up on the BDUK process emerge via the East Anglian Daily Times which has spoken to BT and Fujitsu about what may be delivered to the county via the Better Broadband For Suffolk scheme.

A Fujitsu spokesperson confirmed the company is still working on proposals for Cumbria and North Yorkshire, and that while it plans to install full fibre to the premises in most cases the more rural areas will be covered using wireless. Fujitsu offered no news on whether they would submit a bid for Suffolk. BT was as cagey as ever, other than suggesting a mixture of solutions are being considered.

Back in November, Fujitsu had talked about the same areas, but since that V3 article, they publically announced that the sums do not stack up in Wales.
