The wireless provider Buzcom is now providing a service to the area of Shingle Street which is a few miles North East of Felixstowe on the Suffolk coast. The service offers two packages, 12.5 Mbps or 25 Mbps symmetric speeds for £12.25 or £32.25 a month (40GB usage allowance).
Some more detail on the project is in the East Anglian Daily Times, which reveals the project used a mixture of funding from the former EEDA (East of England Development Agency), DEFRA and the European Union.
Buzcom already provide services in various parts of Essex, and even offers a pay as you go service, allowing access for a six hour period at a cost of £1.25 plus standard SMS charges.
