Next chapter in demise of NextGenUs
Thursday 19 April 2012 12:02:00 by Andrew Ferguson

It would appear according to the Hull and East Riding website, that following calls from the public over data protection issues, a man was arrested on 'suspicion of causing a computer to perform a function to secure or enable unauthorised access to a program or data'. The person has been released on police bail while investigations continue into the alleged offences.

This appears to stem from the purchase of the NextGenUs operations in East Yorkshire by Connexin, and the inability of Connexin to obtain the network access codes from the collapsed NextGenUs. This has resulted in some people experiencing longer gaps in service, even though all the physical network hardware is in place.

What a truly terrible bunch NextGenUs were hopefully Connexin will turn the network into something worthwhile.

While the offences are still only 'alleged' can people refrain from making guesses over who was arrested.

looks like nextgenus was run into the ground on purpose so connexions could buy it dirt cheap from the administrators
the network has been sabotaged again and they are demanding everyone pay a connection charge to keep their internet even though connexins havent paid the administrators for the rights
also they now send a letter to give them all your card details for them to take card payments monthly so you have no power to cancel the payments and the bank cant claim it back like a direct debit
