Is this the Killer App?

Football channels online via broadband? Liverpool FC from midnight tonight will be showing their matches time shifted until after midnight (not allowed to show them live due to broadcasting restrictions) and will be accessible to broadband users as part of their e-season ticket. The website is located here for those who are interested. For the mere curious a pay per view scheme is available with each match costing £2.99.

Sports coverage has been one of the driving factors behind the success of Sky Digital, is it to be the same perhaps with broadband, it may be that TV and Sky have sewn the market up enough that the online matches may appeal more to those abroad, time will tell.
