iomart broadband business sold for £2million - Updated
Wednesday 09 January 2002 11:14:00 by Andrew Ferguson

The Register has run a story that iomart has sold it's broadband business and 2750 customers to Centrica for £2million. In addition the support staff of 40 are to be transferred to Centrica, in essence it looks like a lock stock and barrel deal.

Phil Worms from iomart has emailed us to let us know that a FAQ for customers is available on iomarts website with regard to the sale and it is available here. This suggests very much a smooth handover and business as usual for customers, with a possible future rebranding to live under Centrica's One.Tel brand.
