Not everyone can get the superfast broadband services yet, and thus there is still a market for firms to utilise services that can bond ADSL2+ lines together to give faster uploads and downloads. The Be line bonding is available to around 70% of UK properties.
The Be ADSL2+ line bonding service bonds two telephone lines together, giving a maximum connection on the shortest lines of up to 44 Mbps and a potential upload of up to 5 Mbps. Thus if you are a business with ADSL2+ now, that manages 10 Mbps down, and 0.9 Mbps up, bonding a second line will lead to a doubling of those speeds.
The Be service costs £65 a month, and did until today require an £85 setup fee, the setup costs have been removed and as part of a promotion those signing up with the correct code will receive the first three months of service free. Total savings amounting to around £280. If considering the service, do remember that you will need to rent a second telephone line.
Although there is 3 mths free and now no set up fee, which will be only for a limited time no doubt, it's the ongoing costs that they would of been better doing something about,
Why is the price £65.00 per month ? 2x be retail connections are cheaper even at the current prices to new customers
As they also sell bt lines they could of supplied the extra line, at cost price,(voice disabled)and free install
A good offer to me would equate to free 2nd line install and line rent at at least 50% =£5 and the monthly fee of £65.00 reduced to say £50 max i would say £40 would be a fair price
