ISPA have today announced that they have become a partner of Race Online 2012. Race Online 2012 is an initiative led by Martha Lane Fox to get as close to 100% of people online as possible by the time the London Olympics in 2012 begin. It wants the UK to be one of the first countries in the world to establish a fully online society, and ISPA has introduced a Digital Inclusion Award at the 2010 ISPA's to honour individuals or organisations who have done the most to get people online.
"As a catalyst to organisations from the public, private and third sector, Race Online 2012 challenges businesses to lay down a 'Digital Promise' that will significantly impact and reach those people in the UK who are currently offline.
We are delighted that ISPA has decided to become a partner of Race Online 2012 and recognise the vital importance of digital inclusion within society by introducing a new award at this year's ISPAs".Martha Lane Fox, Digital Inclusion Champion
Any organisation of any size is encouraged to become a partner of Race Online, and you can sign up on their website.
