Be goes after gamers with latest promo
Wednesday 13 May 2009 10:20:11 by Andrew Ferguson

Rather than just have a web page detailing the latest offer for broadband from Be, which can save people up to £64.50, the firm has put online a Flash based first person shooter and a competition to win an Alienware Area-51 X-58 gaming PC. To play the game and enter the competition visit www.blaster.bethere.co.uk

The Unreal Call of Brothers 5 game is more of a parody of all the various shooter games, comprising of three short levels, and was created by magneticNorth.

How can they not expect cheaters when they have no security around submitting scores?

http://mbxgames.com/client/begamer/api/submitscore.php?score=38216620&alias=FUS&r=8496

there isn't any sort of hash check to see if the score is legitmate...

luckily the flash game isn't linked directly to the prize draw :P

Really the flash game is just there for fun I guess.

LOL its a nice idea, but obviously they didnt think much about how they would control or sensibly implement the idea..... I wonder what 12 year old idiot will get the new PC, while others legitimately try to set a good score.... Shame!
