ADSL Price War
Monday 03 September 2001 13:27:00 by Andrew Ferguson

The response to the BTwholesale install fee offer on BTipstream 500 USB has been rapid - with some ISP's offering even more than the price cut.

NOTE:BTopenworld is not BTwholesale and as yet BTopenworld have not indicated their stance on this special offer or the previous £5/month cut that came into effect on 1st September 2001.

The rate at which changes are been announced is so rapid we will from this point on just update the table below:

This table covers the period of 3 months from 1st October 2001, ISP's in alphabetical order.
ISP Offer
Andrews & Arnold £75 install fee and £65+VAT per month
Eclipse £25 install fee if quoting PIG010 when ordering. The £25 actually goes to charity via the Pig Brother Website. Eclipse are the ISP behind Pig Brother.
FirstNet £85 install fee and £45+VAT per month (added seb: 04-Sep)
Griffin £75 install fee, £50 if transferring from another ISP. £42.50 per month
Nildram - Move DSL Free install and £45+VAT per month.
Nildram - Standard £75 install and £42.50+VAT per month.
PlusNet £75 install and £46.99 inc VAT per month (home users) or £70+vat per month (business users).
Timewarp £75 install fee and £45+VAT per month (added seb: 05-Sep)
Zen £75 install fee and £45+VAT per month

As always we recommend phoning the ISP to confirm pricing prior to ordering.
