Zen and Mailbox jump the queue in announcing price reductions
Wednesday 22 August 2001 04:19:00 by Sebastien Lahtinen

Yesterday, both Zen Internet and Mailbox announced immediate price reductions across the range of ADSL services. Zen's price changes, originally planned for the beginning of September will now take effect immediately. Zen's pricing on all products has decreased by £5 per month with the USB service now costing just £45+vat.

Mailbox's price decrease was dramatic, bringing them into line with the competitive market at the ISP level. Mailbox's USB offering has fallen from £60 to £45 (excl. vat) per month (paid quarterly/annually) with 25% reductions across the board of ADSL services.

BT Wholesale is reducing prices from 1 September.

Update 23/08/01: Entranet have announced similar reductions.
