Monday 21 April 2008 14:38:15 by John Hunt

beeb.net, the Internet access provider from BBC Worldwide has announced it is closing on 30th June 2008. Originally started in 1999, beeb.net provided dial-up access, e-mail and web hosting peaking at 140,000 subscribers in 2001. Since then, numbers have dwindled. They started selling broadband in September 2004, however have now announced they will be closing their doors to focus on their other core activities. Existing customers will need to migrate their service to another provided before the 30th June to maintain Internet access.
