BTwholesale to Run Marketing Initiative
Monday 13 August 2001 18:58:00 by Andrew Ferguson

BTwholesale have announced plans today to market ADSL through the national press.

The campaign will be designed to educate the market so that people in areas where ADSL uptake has been low will become aware of the product. ISP's are been given a chance to participate to ensure that the campaign does not end up been a series of adverts for BTopenworld.

BTwholesale appear to be launching the campaign on the back of the price cuts due on 1st September, and it would appear that further price cuts may occur in the future (i.e. wires-only and self-installs).

This should be an opportunity for the smaller ISP's to get some publicity and also to counteract the joint effort from Telewest/NTL.
