There appears to be a nation-wide packet loss problem originating from within BT's network. If you are a DSL customer, expect slow response times and short periods of downtime.
If you are suffering, contact your ISP and inform them. They will inform BT (who hopefully are already aware).
BTwholesale have now issued a national Broadband Incident Report - it notes that the fault began at 1:15pm, and has an anticpated clear time of 3:15pm. It is been described as a loss of service to a number of HomeGateway routers
Further Update (3:13pm) - packet loss issues have now been resolved.
