Madasafish, which is part of the Brightview group, was acquired by BT Retail in July 2007, Plusnet was previously acquired in November 2006. Now customers of Madasafish have started to receive emails concerning the joining of forces between Madasafish and Plusnet.
"This December, Madasafish is joining forces with BT-owned PlusNet, another leading name in the Broadband world, to offer fast, forward-looking Internet and Talk services to our customers.
We will continue to be Madasafish - your award-winning Customer Service and Technical Support teams will not change and the great standard of service that you receive will not change. However, by combining our networks and infrastructure we will be able to deliver better and more exciting services in the future.
We will be launching a number of new features in December. An improved Contact Us section will be available giving you faster online assistance, and the ability to track the progress of your queries much more closely.
As a customer who pays by credit or debit card, you will notice that Madasafish.com R will start appearing on your credit card or bank statement. However, nothing else to do with your billing, including the day on which you are billed, will change."Email to Madasafish customers
Over the coming months more detail will be announced as and when changes take place. Currently the emphasis is on the fact that customer service and technical support teams will remain in place.
With BT Retail now having a number of broadband brands under its overall umbrella there is scope for appealing to the different segments that exist in the market place, while retaining the financial backing a large company like BT can provide.
