Brightview brand Global Internet merged into Madasafish
Friday 12 October 2007 17:11:30 by John Hunt

From 31 October 2007, Brightview, the parent company of both Global Internet and Madasafish will be merging the two brands under the Madasafish name. An FAQ has been provided which should answer any questions users may have. There should be not any noticeable difference to either customers of Madasafish or Global Internet (other than the differing company name). Both have shared the same Brightview network since 2002 so there will be no change to service (or pricing) for existing Global Internet users. All current services will still be offered and existing e-mail addresses, hosted websites and domain names will continue to work.

All account information will be available via the 'My Account' link on from the 31st October. If you have any questions or concerns, contact the Madasafish Customer Care team on 0844 395 0830 (4p per minute at all times, excludes mobile) between 8am and 8pm, 7 days a week or email

An article re Brightview that doesn't mention (a) that they're now owned by BT? (b) that they also provide Waitrose-branded Internet. Odd?

Madasafish, Global and Waitrose also have different pricing. It'll be interesting to see how that is affected by the merger.
