Broadband for all in Norway
Wednesday 16 May 2007 14:51:27 by Andrew Ferguson

Norway is often cited as a place with universally fast broadband connections, but the news that around £19 million is to be spent getting broadband to 80,000 rural Norwegians in their homes, suggests that when comparing countries one needs to look beyond the headlines.

The NKr225m has appeared in a revised national budget by the Norwegian government, and reflects the importance Norway places on maintaining economic life in the rural parts of the country.
