Biscit not taking on new broadband customers
Tuesday 27 February 2007 12:58:07 by Andrew Ferguson

Biscit is featured in a long article over on ZDNet.co.uk which summarises a number of things happening at the provider in the last few weeks.

Of immediate concern for current customers is that Biscit has withdrawn from the Internet Service Providers' Association (ISPA), which means it no longer has free access to CISAS, which is the Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR) scheme ISPA members have access to. Ofcom requires all providers to belong to an ADR scheme, and has investigated providers who have not complied with this rule in the past. It is possible Biscit may join the scheme run by Otelo.

Further news is that when ZDnet called the Biscit sales line they were told that the company's broadband ordering system was down and had been for 10 days with no suggestion of when it will be working again. This means the company is not taking on new broadband customers at present.

www.ispreview.co.uk has run a couple of related news items about Biscit in the last week, Biscit Removed From ISPA Members List and Biscit Finally Comments On Paterson Departure
