Tuesday 13 February 2007 08:24:09 by Andrew Ferguson

It seems residents of the Hamptons area of Peterborough will eventually see broadband access anywhere from August to autumn this year. Details of a commitment by Sir Christopher Bland, Chairman of BT Group is detailed on the PeterboroughNow website. For those who do not know where the estate is see

The local MP Shailesh Vara after years of frustration for residents has finally got a date from BT for when copper overlay will be installed to supplement the existing TPON solution, which will then allow residents access to ADSL services.

not only copper but long copper back to the middle of Peterborough at a guess. The recent Ebfleet FTTH announcement should put O&H the Hampton developer to shame. NTL's shambolic efforts in Hampton aren't a lot better either.

Shame that the other Peterborough MP Stewart Jackson Won't do the same for Park Farm, the other Peterborough area afflicted with TPON.

i seem to have encountered this story 12 months onwards, whilst trying to find out who can remove the TPON from my (Park Farm) line.
Is there any more recent news about Park Farm or should I give up and go cable ?
