Number of UK LLU lines exceeds 580,000
Monday 10 July 2006 14:43:00 by Sebastien Lahtinen

The number of local loop unbundled connections in the UK is rising fast. In January 210,000 lines were unbundled and this figure has now reached 580,000 breaking the half-a-million mark.

The weekly provisioning of LLU lines and migrations (including bulk migrations) is continuing to rise. The Office of the Telecommunications Adjudicator (Offta) reports that previous issues with migrations as well as delivery of backhaul for points of presence in exchanges are improving.
