AOL quietly unbundles 100,000 lines

AOL UK has its own DSL hardware now in 200 BT exchanges, and has 100,000 customers using its LLU service. Figures taken from The Register. This 100,000 lines is around one fifth of all the LLU lines that are up and running in the UK, but is a small fraction of the AOL UK broadband customer base which is around 1.5 million.

As a comparison, Bulldog who are heavily into LLU, has around 112,000 broadband customers, which it has taken some three years to accumulate.
