The UK has seen a number of companies in the last six months make grand announcements about their plans for broadband market, and BSkyB are the latest to enter the fray. After months of speculation as to what BSkyB may do it seems July 18th 2006 is the date when confirmation of what the company intends doing will be made public. Dan Milmo over on The Guardian website has more to say on the matter.
While some may see BSkyB as a late entrant to the double/triple/quadruple play arena, through its ownership of Easynet and the UK Online service it already has a number of LLU based services running across the UK. This may give BSkyB the option of hitting the ground running, and offering people the full service if they live in the right area on day one.
