If the forecasts over at The Guardian are correct, then next Wednesday may see Orange becoming the next player to offer a 'free' broadband package. Orange is a name well known in the mobile telephone market, but with the merging of Wanadoo and Orange the company will become a large broadband player.
This offer from Orange which is yet to be given final approval looks like to be tied to taking out a mobile phone contract, as well as a fixed line telephony and broadband deal. So really like all the other 'free' offers, it should be viewed as an inclusive bundle. If the deal also includes a 2 year contract then people need to look carefully at the clauses, for example what happens if you move house in the those two years.
