The last week has seen speculation about the future of Homechoice, but it seems they have the answer in the form of an announcement that they will be rolling out their TV/broadband and calls package across the UK in 2006. They plan on increasing coverage from around 2.4 million homes to 10 million homes in 2006. Currently they have around 34,000 customers subscribed to the service, this is over double the number they had in January 2005. These 34,000 customers are spread over 137 unbundled exchanges.
What looks like the full press release can be found on www.ispreview.co.uk. As yet the press release is not on the Homechoice or Video Networks websites.
