UK Online looks set to boost its popularity amongst those seeking a broadband bargain, with its latest round of price reductions and product changes. This round of changes are apparently part of the stage setting for its ADSL2+ up to 24Mbps service launch in October 2005.
The 8Mbps LLU based product is to receive a boost to its upstream speed almost doubling this to 768kbps. The pricing for 1Mbps and 2Mbps when supplied via the standard BT ADSL services may seem fairly expensive, but UK Online are selling the service as unlimited (no download or time limits. Though people should remember that unlimited services at this price bracket are based on a contended/shared product, and therefore peak speeds can and will vary.
