Telewest in agreement with Virgin Digital portal
Monday 05 September 2005 15:32:00 by Andrew Ferguson

VirginDigital.com and Telewest have signed a two year agreement that means Telewest will be the preferred Internet provider for the new Virgin download service.

Virgin Digital is an online music store and club, with options to download music for a fee, or listen to samplers. The music club offers the option of streaming or downloading unlimited content for £9.99 per month.

The agreement with Telewest will benefit BlueYonder broadband customers, since they will get various free seven day free trials and free downloads. The future looks set to bring streaming from love bands on the providers web-based TV service.

One downside to this music service, is that the site has a requirement for the computer to be running Windows 2000 or Windows XP.
