Sky to enter the broadband arena?

Sky with its monopoly of the UK satellite TV market, may be looking at doing a triple play, to face off competition from the growing FreeView market and other competitors. More details over on The Inquirer.

If Sky were to enter the UK broadband market as a partner in a wireless broadband roll-out, or on its own, then there is the chance it may offer higher speeds than are possible to those consumers outside the cable coverage areas, and who are located too far from the BT exchanges for fast DSL based access.
