Telecommunications Adjudicator issues March update on LLU
Sunday 03 April 2005 18:21:00 by Andrew Ferguson

A new update on the issues surrounding LLU deployment in the UK has been issued by the Office of the Telecommunications Adjudicator (OTA). The full update can be found on the OTA website.

The report highlights progress made in the last month, which has seen the Right First Time (RFT) current delivery target for getting things activated for end-users exceeded with 87% of lines going in correctly. This figure is still climbing, and with the number of unbundled lines in the UK sitting at around 40,000 is a welcome indicator that the glitches with LLU are being smoothed out. It is also good to see that BT and the LLU operators are entering into various workshops to ensure LLU rollout continues to progress.
