Top 10 Fastest Broadband ISPs for January 2005

A new entry in the top ten has pushed its way into the top position. NDO has previously had insufficient results to be compared against the others but they have now attained sufficient tests to be on the top ten with a downstream average of 451.6 Kbps. Nildram were pushed into third position whilst Wanadoo held second place. Virgin also dropped from third to sixth position whilst PlusNet fell into eleventh.

The average downstream speed of the top ten fell by 1.3 Kbps to 447.4 Kbps, but the difference in speed between the top and number ten position reduced to 6.3 Kbps, about 1.5% of the speeds in question.
