Nildram reduces prices of its Netgear routers
Friday 11 February 2005 14:20:00 by Andrew Ferguson

Nildram has lowered the cost of the ADSL hardware they supply. Namely the Netgear DG834 is now available for £49.35 and the Netgear DG834G for £62.28 (all prices include VAT). Both units are routers with a built in ADSL modem, the G model has a built in wireless access point running at the 802.11g standard. For people who are not Nildram ADSL customers the price does rise to £58.74 and £76.36 respectively.

Netgear is still developing for the DG834 range, and has just released Beta firmware that adds support for up to five IPSec VPN tunnel endpoints. Since the firmware is in a Beta release, anyone who tries the new firmware does so at their own risk.
