More price cuts - AOL this time
Wednesday 27 October 2004 15:44:00 by Andrew Ferguson

It seems the price cutting wars continue, AOL has now dropped its 256kbps Silver service to £17.99.

The package comes with a fairly standard 12 month minimum contract, but does have a free ADSL USB modem and free activation, and very important for some the service has no bandwidth capping. Compared to the AOL Anytime dial-up service which costs £15.99 a month, it is almost stupid not to upgrade.

The Register also quotes Karen Thomson, AOL UK Chief Exec, about AOL plans to trial a 2Mbps service.
