Kingston Communications - rapid growth
Thursday 26 August 2004 10:55:00 by Andrew Ferguson

Kingston Communications who are the incumbent telephone operator in Hull and East Yorkshire has recently announced passing through the 17,000 ADSL customer barrier. Their press release with all the details is here.

Apparently the recently announced price cuts by Karoo has resulted in a nine-fold increase in sales, with over 2000 homes and businesses signing up in one week. The numbers may seem small even compared to ISPs like Pipex, but given the size of the catchment area it is impressive. The rapid takeup possibly shows just how price sensitive the UK public is with respect to Internet access.
