BBC Broadband coverage of Olympics
Wednesday 11 August 2004 00:38:00 by Sebastien Lahtinen

Only a few days away, the Athens 2004 Olympics are almost here. The BBC has been traditionally very positive about embracing new technology and its broadband services, whilst limited, are providing broadband-enabled content which is crucial to the increasing adoption of faster Internet services.

Whilst viewers of BBC One and BBC Two will be able to view 250 hours of Olympics coverage, an extra 1,000 hours is accessible to digital television viewers and on the BBC website for broadband users. Users will be able to call up video streams of the day's events in addition to live streams also available.
