PlusNet announces price war..
Wednesday 28 April 2004 20:58:00 by Sebastien Lahtinen

In the style of the week, PlusNet has joined in and is reducing prices for its unmetered sub-broadband dslConnect services. Its always-on packages now start from £14.99 per month inclusive of VAT for 150 Kbps, approximately three times the speed of an analogue modem, rising to £15.99/month for a 200 Kbps service and £16.99/month for a 250 Kbps service. The availability of the DataStream based service varies by area. PlusNet however stress the inclusive back-up (local rate) dial-up access, 24x7 support and the unmetered nature of the package.

"For those looking for an always-on connection for web surfing and email on a budget, dslConnect makes a great-value choice. Every account comes with personal email addresses, Web-mail and even 25MB web space to publish your own website. Unlike some competitors' products, all of our broadband products give you email, back-up dial access, local rate round-the-clock support and the ability to enjoy online games. Not only that but we're continuing to offer 3 months' free trial of anti-virus and spam protection with this product."

Marco Potesta (Marketing Director), PlusNet
