Wanadoo/Freeserve hits sub-£20 market...

On Monday, unconfirmed rumours were circulating about Freeserve (now Wanadoo) launching new usage-based services aimed to attract more customers. Yesterday, the launch of these packages from £17.99/month was confirmed:

Broadband 1Mb 1 Mbps 30 GB/month £34.99/mo

All of the packages include free setup and modem. Prices include VAT.

Existing Freeserve users will be able to take advantage of the new prices but "Broadband 512k Plus" subscribers will still have an uncapped service and all Freeserve customers will be able to keep their e-mail addresses. More information can be found here. [seb]
