THUS has joined up with The Scout Association to launch an affinity marketing programme in a move to bring the benefits of broadband to the Associations members.
THUS is more widely known under its Demon ISP name, who provide broadband to consumers and businesses. This move will see broadband being promoted via the Scout Association website and in print both via 'Scouting' magazine and flyers. Additionally Demon are running a jointly-branded webpage on its own site here.
It is good to see an ISP promoting broadband in a way that is a bit different. At present any promotion of broadband beyond the UK's techie community is very welcome, and is needed to ensure that demand continues to grow. The availability of more broadband options in the future relies heavily on getting the take-up figures a lot higher than they are currently.
