BT Yahoo and BT Broadband 1Mbps service now official
Thursday 15 January 2004 10:48:00 by Andrew Ferguson

BT Yahoo and BT Broadband service pricing has now being confirmed with the release of the official press information. In other words £40.99 for BT Yahoo and £38 (via direct debit) for the BT Broadband service.

Very important: The order desks will not be ready for orders until the service is launched on the 19th January, so if you contact prior to this date do not be surprised if they are not able to take your order.

The crucial thing for existing users is that the upgrade from an existing BT Yahoo or BT Broadband 0.5Mbps service will be free for orders placed before 31st March 2004. New subscribers ordering online to either the 0.5Mbps or 1Mbps services will receive free activation and a free ADSL modem if they order by 31st March 2004 and are activated before 30th April 2004. For people who order the service over the phone it will cost £25.

Further details and terms and conditions for the service and special offers should appear on the two respective websites in the near future at BT Yahoo and BT Broadband. For people who recommend friends to the service there is now a £20 referral reward scheme, see BT Yahoo referrals and BT Broadband referrals.
