Update for Torpoint, Cornwall

The Torpoint exchange in Cornwall reached its trigger level of 500 registrations back in mid-July this year but users are still waiting a ready-for-service date. The delays (relative to other exchanges) have been caused as a result of the additional time needed to gain wayleave permissions required to run additional cabling to the exchange to support its enabling for broadband.

BT also confirm that the bulk of the remaining work at the exchange has already been carried out and wayleave permission has already been secured for the remaining cabling from the landowner so Torpoint users should have to wait no longer than absolutely necessary once permission for the subsea section of cable is granted.
