The ActNow partnership has announced details of a further seven exchanges that are to get ADSL as a result of their ongoing partnership between various parties.
The lucky exchanges will all have a service date of 17th December 2003, meaning that the first users may just about get ADSL in time for Christmas. The areas in which people can celebrate are:
The ActNow scheme is very much about helping local businesses in each area, which can include subsidised connections, computers and training. The aim being to re-generate local business in areas that are otherwise suffering.
Congratulations must go to the various broadband campaigners in those areas and in particular Simon Final (Camelford) whose campaign has shown the demand exists in his area.
