Freeserve launches one month no risk ADSL trial
Monday 01 September 2003 09:48:00 by Andrew Ferguson

Freeserve has reached its fifth birthday and to mark the event it is doing something that should rock the ADSL home user market a bit.

From today, Freeserve are offering a simple try ADSL for one month trial, and if you are not happy at the end of it, you will simply return all the hardware and get that months £27.99 fee refunded. Combine this with free activation and a free modem and almost all the obstacles holding dial-up customers from connecting to broadband are gone.

This offer allows you to try out broadband or 30 days at basically no cost. To stop customers abusing the offer is not available to those who have been a Freeserve broadband customer in the last 6 months.

To find out more and check out the terms and conditions of this offer visit or phone Freeserve on 0870 850 7974 (national rate number).

Lets hope that this new offer reflects a growing acceptance from Freeserve that you need to do more than just follow the crowd to attract users to broadband. Many people to date have made the comment, that their 56k connection is fast enough, but now they have a chance to give broadband the chance without the risk, and as most who have it will testify once you switch over you do not want to go back to dial-up.
