Oftel's days numbered?

Today the Government White Paper dealing with broadcast media from TV to e-mail is due to be released.

It appears that several regulators are to be merged into one to form "Ofcom", the ones likely to merge being ITC, Oftel, Broadcasting Standards Council.

So do people think that Oftel is doing a good job? Or do we need a new body with a new mandate to regulate the growing market for internet provision?
