Demonstrations against EU Software Patents

Open Source software is under threat from the European Commission on September 1st as they are voting to revise the European Patentability rules to expand the regulation of software patents. This may forbid Open Source and other software from being developed as it will come under certain infringements from patents that could be placed. This is very concerning as it affects the way much of the Internet is based. ADSLguide uses Open Source software in the form of Linux based operating systems to host some of its services, and without Open Source software, we would not be able to offer you as much as we do.
