It has been reported in various sources that the UK's intelligence community is seeking powers to force all Telcos and isp's to keep records of all phone calls, emails and internet pageviews for seven years in order to stop 'Cybercrime'.

Not only will the ISPs and telcos have to keep that information, they will have to send it to a government database which they, or "Trusted contractors" would maintain and have access to this data.
